A wonderful weekend of mosaic making and a little mayhem!
Thanks to Annette for organising her friends/family to attend a weekend at Studio OzMosaics to advance their mosaic skills to include 3-D mosaics, working with thinset (cement based adhesive) and using my special mosaic tips and tricks!
It was very busy, we included a mosaic sleep-over and worked well into the evening on Saturday night - such as mosaic addicts do!
The crows added fun by stealing our lolly snakes and a few teabags! They really want to be part of the mosaic action at Studio OzMosaics! Always fun.
Your mosaic projects look fantastic and I loved your joy at reshaping found objects, crockery new and old.
Hope you enjoyed it all as much as I did and you inspired me with your mosaic eagerness to explore and learn and new mosaic tips are forthcoming! Stimulation and conversation is wonderful for us all.
Hope you have a safe flight home to Darwin and hope to see you soon.
I am busy working today on my mosaic commission for the University of Queensland, Engineering Dept and after a weekend of floral fun, I am being challenged with salt-water intrusion, sewerage plants, CS glass works, water cycle, Oceania, osmosis, wetland creatures, tourism and water and much more! It's always interesting to work on mosaic challenges for my clients and teaching the art of mosaics to my students.
This Mayday in Brisbane weather is simply stunning.
Hope to see you soon, enjoy your mosaics!
