mosaics and chocolate rule!

I had some of the mosaic necessities of life: Hand cream, chocolates (thanks mum!), white vinegar, a banana (for busy artists on the go!), mints and perfume! I often snack on bananas as they are well packaged and easy to eat, especially if I am grouting.
I peel the 'nana and then put it in freezer bag (I use the bag as a mosaic food glove) and them eat away.
I teach my students how to eat, answer the phone, go to the loo, work on the computer, whilst they are grouting.... It's an easy method and saves you taking off your mosaic grotty gloves or getting your messy hand prints on everything! Works a charm!

Some of the students at OzMosaics Studio on Saturday, enjoying a mosaic break, chatting about mosaics and the possibilites....endless.
Another mosaic tip by Sandy Robertson: How to cut the kitchen scourer to easily clean 3-D mosaics! Don't forget the paddle pop sticks, the wooden sate skewers, water, white vinegar and love/patience. Don't forget the special effects after you have the mosaic floral artwork spotless! The final sealer, gloss and the special effects. We all had a good laugh about the visit to the Chemist shop for perfect mosaic "edges".
