jI came up with this idea (out of frustration, necessity and brainstorming myself!) for a flexible camera stand and video stand
to use when recording my mosaic workshop videos and photographing mosaic works in progress.  It's a perfect stand for many of my mosaic applications, very portable, gives a steady photo and saves me using my camera tripod.   It's marvellous for taking photos of your mosaics for juried art shows!  No shakes or wobblies!

I used two old desklights and when I asked Dave to help me work out how to mount the camera on one and the video on the other stand, he took the idea on board and helped me put the idea together - thanks Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!  We felt like the inventors!  LOL!

It shows it's hard to come up with something original as I then searched Google and found others had similar ideas and were selling them, but I am proud of my workshop and photographing solution, which came out of mulling over the problem for a long time and I also have some other variations which I will share in MOSI, mosaic online school soon.

I have another idea up my mosaic sleeve and will try it out in the near future - just need to find time to go out and source the item I have in mind to turn into a mosaic marvel!

So far these stands are just marvellous and I hope you enjoy using this idea.  It's very economical, easy to make and works like a charm!    I had been trying to get something working for a while and had tried many home-made ideas but this is my best so far to making my movies and taking photos of mosaics and whatever else takes my fancy.  I will also make some "tall" mOzSTANDS and have ideas for dual purpose set-ups with lights. Stay tuned.

If you like this idea or use it, please leave a comment below and I will share more!

If you use my idea and/or share this page you must acknowledge OzMosaics Studio and give a link back to http://www.ozmosaics.com.au/mosaic  Thank you.

I will be having a week's break in February and whilst watching the ocean, will work on 110 mosaic coasters for a special wedding coming up!  All in a day's work!
I enjoyed watching Hewitt in the tennis tonight and even though he didn't win, he was a champion showing spirit, never say die courage and an inspiration.

It's now raining on our Queenslander tin roof and it's time for bed.  Looking forward to Tuesday and lots of mosaic making!
