A touch of pink in OzMosaics Studio - hanging over the heads of students in last Saturday's mosaic workshop!A fabulous workshop started off 2012with flair and fun on Saturday. The studio was sorted out and looked great and I took the students on a little tour of our home and my artworks before we settled down to learning the art of mosaics!
Thanks to the students who were so eager to break into mosaics. I look forward to your future artworks.
These torsos will be adorned with mosaicsbut will be built into sculptures first. I am a bit over the "mosaic the torso"! I enjoyed making the "Blue Lady" so much (which is on display in a fashion store at the moment) that I have great mosaics planned for these bare beauties! I will show the Mosaic Addicts Tuesday Group how to turn these into special forms for mosaics.
Our workshops are booked out until end April, so Dave is adding more workshops to accommodate all the eager students this year and when I complete the set of 6 murals I am currently working on, I will announce new workshops & mosaic projects, which I promise will be very exciting!
Had a wonderful meeting today to discuss future plans for fund-raising for the Royal Brisbane Hospital and even though my first pot off coffee somehow "over-perked" LOL, Ian was game to have a fresh pot~ Dave came to the rescue, he makes a fabulous pot of coffee, even though he doesn't drink coffee!
Of course, we had some Tim Tams.

Such a busy year already! It's exciting and I can't wait to get down to the studio in the morning to being another mural mosaic panel.
