Student comments:

Beginner Class:   "When I attended OzMosaic Beginners course I knew not one thing about mosaics.  Boy did that change quickly!  Sandy is absolutely bursting with knowledge, enthusiasm, experience, techniques, tips, tricks and great mosaicing stories.  The workshop had a lovely welcoming and personable atmosphere and her passion for mosaicing is just so contagious.  By the end of the day I felt so motivated and confident to start my own mosaicing journey.  An absolutely fantastic day and so worthwhile for anyone who wants to try this fun craft! "    Michelle.

Advanced Course:    Wow!  Talk about value for money!  Our day was jam packed with even more information, techniques and hands on fun!  And the nicest part is that I took home a unique 3D mosaic that was my personal creation, yet made with the help of Sandy’s expert knowledge.  Not sure if the best part was smashing wine bottles, cutting glass, oozing grout, or just the great company!  I’d definitely recommend this course to challenge those further who have already done the Beginners Course.  Fantastic!".   Michelle

Australia Zoo - Steve Irwin Day 2011

workshop students_mosaic

Mosaic Addicts are joining Team OzMosaics at Australia Zoo, 15th November, 2011.
Come and join us at Australia Zoo and put down some tiles to a mural on the day....

We will take names and photographs of all participants and complete the mural back at OzMosaics Studio, with the Mosaic Addicts Group.  Visitors to the Zoo will have fun helping make the mosaics and have the opportunity to toss a coin to raise funds for creatures great and small on the day.

Look out for signage at Australia Zoo.  We will be working in front of the beautiful series of murals installed at the Zoo - the Steve Irwin Mosaic Tribute mural project . Amazing huge mosaic panels, made by mosaic artists, enthusiasts, children and families around the world.  A lasting tribute to the wonderful Steve Irwin, who we miss dearly.
The mural will be installed at the Zoo upon completion. The mural will have creatures features from the Wildlife Park at Australia Zoo.  Contact us for more info.  OzMosaics are sponsoring this mural and Laticrete Australia is supplying the glue and grout!
Thanks again Laticrete!

Africa at Australia Zoo 2011

Team OzMosaics and friends, helpers enjoyed seeing AFRICA at Australia Zoo on Steve Irwin Day 2011.
We took a short break from the mural workshop, whilst Maureen kept working on the mosaic with the zoo visitors.
Here is a YouTube video slide presentation of our trip over the AFRICA exhibit.  It is the first stage and much more is in development.
